Pick any one to see what the generator produces and how it is graded. Types are ordered the way teachers reach for them. Two of them do something the free tools do not: multi-select awards partial credit, and short answer tolerates a typo.
Multiple choice (MCQ)
One correct option, three plausible distractors. The distractors are the hard part of writing an MCQ by hand: they have to be wrong for a reason a student might actually believe. Grading is instant and unambiguous.
Which factor is not a limiting factor of photosynthesis in a typical school experiment?
Soil pH affects nutrient uptake, not the rate of the reaction itself.
Multi-select, with partial credit
More than one option is correct, and each correct option carries its own weight. A student who finds two of three right answers scores two thirds — not zero. This is the type most free generators either skip or grade all-or-nothing.

True / False
The fastest type to answer and the fastest to grade — useful for checking a definition landed before you spend a mark on analysis. Every statement generates with its correct value and a one-line reason, so a wrong answer teaches something.

Fill in the blanks
A sentence with one or more gaps, graded blank by blank. Each blank keeps its own list of acceptable answers, so a student writing "carbon dioxide" and one writing "CO₂" are both right — which is exactly where the free tools mark a correct answer wrong.
Plants absorb from the air and release as a by-product.
Short answer
A word or a line, matched against the accepted answers with tolerance for a typo. "Chlorophyl" does not lose a mark that "chlorophyll" would have earned — the student is being tested on biology, not spelling.

Descriptive / essay
The long-form answer, generated together with the criteria it should be marked against. You get a rubric you can edit before anyone writes a word — which is the difference between consistent marking across a year group and three teachers marking three different ways.

The generator writes from your prompt or from the documents you upload, so the subject is whatever you teach. These are the ones we see most.

Generated is not the same as finished
Every question — generated or hand-written — carries six controls. This is what separates a draft you can send to a class from a list of questions you have to retype into something else.
- 1Points. Set the mark for each question independently. A definition and a four-step derivation should not be worth the same.
- 2Required or optional. Mark a question optional and it stops being compulsory — useful for choice sections and for extension work.
- 3Explanation. The reason the answer is correct. Shown to the student after the attempt in Learning mode, or kept for the marker.
- 4Marking criteria. The rubric for anything longer than a line, so open answers are marked consistently.
- 5Tags. Topic, unit, learning outcome. Tags are how a question becomes findable again next term.
- 6Media. Attach an image, a diagram or a figure to the question — the graph the question is about, not a description of it.

Difficulty levels that mean something
On most generators, "hard" produces longer questions. Here each level has a definition tied to what the student has to do with the knowledge — which is why a medium paper and a hard paper on the same topic test genuinely different things.
Recall and definitions. The student either knows the term or does not. Use it to check that the vocabulary of a unit has landed before you build on it.

Application, and explaining in their own words. The student has to use the idea in a situation they have not been shown, or restate it without leaning on the textbook sentence.

Exam-style analysis and justification. The student has to reach a conclusion and defend it with evidence — the register of a real terminal paper, not a revision quiz.

If you plan assessments against Bloom's taxonomy, the three levels map onto it closely — remember and understand, apply and analyse, analyse and evaluate.
Generate in English or Arabic
Not a translation layer bolted on afterwards. Choose Arabic and the questions are generated in Arabic, the interface flips to right-to-left, and the exported PDF carries correctly shaped and joined Arabic script.
- Generated, not translated. Questions, options, answer keys and explanations are all produced in the language you pick.
- Full right-to-left interface. The authoring experience flips too, so an Arabic-speaking teacher is not working in a left-to-right tool.
- Correctly shaped Arabic in exported PDFs. Letters join the way they should. Anyone who has exported Arabic from a generic tool and watched it come out as disconnected glyphs knows how rare this is.

The same questions, set to do different jobs
A revision quiz and a terminal exam are not the same event, even when the questions are identical. The purpose mode you choose changes what the student sees, when they see it, and how tightly the paper is held.

No two students sit the same paper
The oldest objection to AI-generated questions is that they all come out the same — the same twelve facts, phrased twelve ways, term after term. Three mechanisms answer it, and they run before anyone sits down.
Question uniqueness
New questions are checked against what you have already generated, so this term's paper does not quietly repeat last term's.
Question reshuffling
The order changes per student, so the answer to question 4 is not the same for the person sitting alongside.
Option reshuffling
Within each question, the options move too — which is what actually defeats copying a letter across a desk.
Grading is unaffected. Each student's answer key travels with their own version of the paper.

Five checks run before you ever see the questions
Language models produce recognisable classes of mistake in assessment content: a multi-select with one correct option, a true/false with no stated answer, a rubric accidentally printed inside the question text. Rather than leave you to catch these, the generator checks for them and repairs them first.
Multi-select repair
A multi-select question that came back with only one correct option is not multi-select. It is caught and rebuilt with a genuine set of correct answers and their weights.
True/False backfill
Any true/false statement missing its correct value is completed, so no question ever reaches a student without a gradeable answer behind it.
Answer-key validation
Every key is checked against the options it refers to. A key pointing at an option that does not exist is the single worst failure in a generated paper, and it is checked for explicitly.
Option normalisation
Labels, punctuation and spacing are made consistent across the paper. No half of the questions labelled A) and the other half 1., no stray numbering left inside an option.
Rubric stripping
Marking criteria sometimes leak into the question the student reads. They are pulled out of the question text and filed where they belong — in the criteria field, visible to you.
None of this replaces your review. It removes the mechanical errors so your review can be about whether the questions are the right questions.

Frequently asked questions
Can I generate questions from a PDF?
Yes — and from Word and PowerPoint as well. Upload up to 20 documents (.pdf, .doc, .docx, .ppt, .pptx) and the generator writes questions from their contents. PDF Vision also reads diagrams, charts and tables, so a figure in the chapter can become a question about that figure.
Before anything is generated you see an extraction preview showing what was actually pulled out of each file, so a poor scan is caught early rather than after printing.
Does it write the answer key as well?
Every question is generated with its answer key. Multiple choice, multi-select, true/false, fill-in-the-blanks and short answer are auto-graded against that key. Descriptive questions come with marking criteria instead, so long-form answers can be marked consistently.
You can edit any key or rubric before the paper goes out.
What question types can it generate?
Up to eight: multiple choice, multi-select with partial credit, true/false, fill in the blanks, short answer, descriptive, mixed papers combining several types, and manual questions you write yourself. Every type works in any subject — the generator writes from your prompt or from the documents you upload.

Can I generate questions in Arabic?
Yes. Arabic is a generation language, not a translation layer: questions, options, answer keys and explanations are all written in Arabic, and the authoring interface flips to right-to-left.
Exported PDFs carry correctly shaped and joined Arabic script — the part most tools get wrong.
Can I edit the questions afterwards?
All of them. Every question — generated or hand-written — carries its own points, a required or optional setting, an explanation, marking criteria, tags and media attachments. You can rewrite the question text, change the options, move the correct answer or delete the question entirely.
A generated paper is a first draft that has done the typing for you, not a finished thing you have to accept.
Will every student get the same questions?
Not unless you want them to. Question order and option order can both be reshuffled per student, so the answer to question 4 is not the same across a room. New questions are also checked against ones you have generated before, so papers do not quietly repeat term to term.
Marks available stay identical for everyone; only the arrangement changes.
Is my material safe if I upload it?
Uploaded documents are encrypted at rest, and institutions that need to keep generation on their own model account can bring their own API key rather than routing through ours.

How many questions can I generate?
It depends on your plan. Generation is metered against a token pool rather than a fixed question count, because a 60-question mock built from six documents costs far more to produce than five true/false statements.
As a rough guide only, a typical entry allowance produces on the order of ~20 questions in a billing period. Treat that as illustrative — the enforced limit is the token pool, and the current allowances are listed on the pricing page.
